Steve Smith to be president of Universities UK

Prof Steve Smith, vice-chancellor of the University of Exeter and chair of the 1994 group of small research-intensive universities, will be the next president of vice-chancellors’ lobby group, Universities UK.
He will succeed Prof Rick Trainor, principal of King’s College London, on August 1 2009 and will hold the post for the two academic years 2009-10 [...]
